Salmon In The Trees III

The important interrelationship of salmon and forest are evident in the layered imagery in this quilt. Recent scientific studies show salmon play a more important role in providing nutrition to more of Alaska than previously thought. Birds and mammals ingest salmon and spread nutrients in the forest through their fecal deposits, providing crucial benefits to all forest vegetation.
